Genworth's Long Term Care Business Solutions Update

 

Long Term Care Business Solutions Update As a leader in the long term care insurance industry, Genworth Life Insurance Company continues to invest in this market by offering long term care planning solutions that help families find the right options for their needs. Long Term Care Business Solutions addresses a growing worksite need. Long Term Care Business Solutions has three options:  The Executive Series program is a 100% Employer Paid offering and W-2 employees who are actively-at-work (30+ hours per week) are eligible for simplified underwriting. The Employee Plus program will allow an employer to purchase core coverage for W-2 employees who are actively-at-work (30+ hours per week) and also allow eligible employees to purchase additional coverage ("buy up") at their own expense. The Employee Advantage program is used when the employee is paying for the coverage. The long form application is used for this program, and employees are fully underwritten. Under all three options, spouses, domestic partners, parents, grandparents, adult children and siblings as well as surviving spouses and surviving partners of the employee are eligible for participation. All eligible persons must be at least 18 years of age, maintain a permanent US residence and have a valid tax identification or social security number from the US government. Eligible family members must be under age 80. These applicants will be fully underwritten and must use the long form application.  In addition to the updated and new materials (see summary of materials), we have also developed some additional tools to better address the product and process. August 20, 2010 Prudential LTCi News     Full Cash Rider with LTC3SM Subject to Full Underwriting Effective September 20th, 2010, the full Cash Benefit Rider will no longer be available in combination with ESP Simplified Issue in our LTC3SM product.  The full Cash Benefit Rider will remain available but will require the long form application so it can be fully underwritten as we do for all non-ESP cases.   This is being done in order to help mitigate the additional risk associated with offering a full cash benefit on a Simplified Issue basis.   The Flexible Cash Benefit Rider (a.k.a. 50/50) is still available with Simplified Underwriting, as well as the built-in Cash Alternative and 150% Home Health Care rider.   Adjustments have already been made to the most recent version of the illustration software to disallow the combination of ESP Simplified Underwriting and the Full Cash Benefit Rider.  If you’re looking to quote this combination prior to September 20th, please contact the Multi-Life Service Center at (888) 868-9027 who will be able to run the quote for you.  ESP applications must be signed prior to September 20th and received by Prudential no later than October 1st if the Full Cash Benefit Rider is selected in combination with Simplified Underwriting; using the Buy-Up application. If you have any questions, please contact your Prudential LTC Regional Sales Manager.     (PA) Personal Worksheets Updated    Prudential Long-Term Care has recently updated the personal worksheets in the LTC3 SM application booklets for the state of Pennsylvania.   (PA) LTC3 SM application booklets now include the following:   •  Individual new form number: GRP114533 •  ESP, Buy-Up & Affiliation new form number: GRP114534 •  Edition date: 08/10    Application booklets containing these new forms are available for order though the usual process. Please begin using the new form immediately.
