This same thing is happening to my mother and I now. She has paid her premium for years has over $70.000.00 in a one year paying policy and they will not pay. I have gotten the run around since June, 2011. Social Services at the skilled nursing facility filled out the paperwork, they called the adminstrator and questioned her, she felt they would pay and when we didn't hear from and I finally got a hold of a person they said she was denied. I We are now in the appeal process. It is like pushing a chain up hill!!! It is emotionally draining and it never ends. A copy of my letter of appeal and a letter from her dr's office will be sent to them and also to the insurance commission here in Pennsylvania. So SAD!!
My mother wanted to give up this fight but I have just BEGUN!!
